Jewel Rigsby (Tanner) Easter
June 16, 1930 — May 22, 2019
Jewel Rigsby Easter, 88, of Hazel Green went to be with the Lord on Wednesday while surrounded by her loving family. She was a Christian and a long-time member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. Funeral service will be Sunday 2pm at the Hazel Green Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tommy Bolan and Pastor Lon Ostrzycki officiating. Burial will follow in Charity Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her father James Tanner, mother Daisy Tanner, husband: Claude (Thomas) William Rigsby Sr., husband: Cecil Easter granddaughter: Paula Rigsby; brother: Kenneth Tanner.
Surviving family members include her sons, Claude Rigsby and wife Helen, Paul Rigsby and wife Pam and Howard Rigsby; Her grandchildren, Phillip (Pamela) Rigsby, Kay (Brandon) Frazier, Travis (Holly) Rigsby, Haley Rigsby; Her great-grandchildren: Payton Jones, Preston Rigsby, Brooke Frazier, Parker Rigsby, Allie Frazier, Addilyn Rigsby, Hudson Rigsby, Cain Rigsby; brothers: Calvin Tanner, Billy (Cordelia) Tanner; sisters: Marvolene Clark and Betty Flynt.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5 until 8pm at the Hazel Green Funeral Home.
Casket bearers will be Phillip Rigsby, Travis Rigsby, Brandon Frazier, Preston Rigsby, David Shores, Bobby Jean, and honorary Parker Rigsby.
