Nona Gaines Underwood, 72, of Hazel Green went on to her Heavenly reward on January 5, 2019 surrounded by loved ones. She served the Lord for 57 years and mother to Toney Holiness Church for 29 years.
She is survived by her children - Rodney & Donna Underwood and Kristy Underwood Smith. Four Grandchildren - Jonathan (Cecillia) Smith; Jared Smith (Stacy Witt); Lindz (Hunter) Bray; Mitchell Underwood. 1 Great Grandchild - Jaycee Smith; Jaxon Roberts and Sydney Witt whom she also loved as her great grandchildren. Two Sisters - Linda (Charles) Meeks and Mona Eirls.
Preceded in death by her husband, Rev Charles Underwood. Parents: Olef & Ruby Gaines. Brother - Roy Gaines.
Visitation: Tuesday 4-8pm at Toney Holiness Church. Funeral: Wednesday 2pm at Toney Holiness Church. Officiating: Rickey Holman, Carl Simmons and Terry Wright. Burial at Underwood Cemetery.
