Randy Mark Mize

Randy Mark Mize, 64, of Hazel Green, went to be with the Lord on Friday.

He was raised in Birmingham and was a proud Midfield Maniac, graduating from Midfield High School in 1974.   He enjoyed muscle cars, music, movies, and passionately loved Christmas.    More than anything, he was a Christian who loved the Lord, his wife, his children and his grandbabies who knew him as "Pop."   Randy was part of Plainview church of Christ where he faithfully served as a deacon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arvin & Vera Mize and by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bobby & Corrine Crowell; His brother-in-law, Luther Sweat.

He leaves  behind his loving family which includes his wife of almost 39 years, Sharon Mize;  His daughters and sons-in-law, Carrie & Mark Power and Kristin & Gary Bliss; His grandchildren:  Mason McDaniel, Noah McDaniel, and Emma McDaniel;  His brother and sister-in-law, Jeffrey & Jan Mize;  His sister, Judy Sweat.  He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5 until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Life service will be on Tuesday at 11am at the funeral home with burial following in Plainview Cemetery.
