Ada Jane Campbell, 81, of Hazel Green passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at her home on Friday.She was born in Langston and moved to Madison County in 1937. She graduated from Hazel Green High School and received her bachelor's degree from the University of North Alabama in Florence. She taught school for 34 years and retired from Riverton School in 1985 as a first grade teacher. She was a lifelong member of Concord Cumberland Presbyterian Church.She was preceded in death by her father, William Jackson Thomason; mother, Willie Delilah Evans Thomason; and a foster brother, Arthur H. Schmidt.She is survived by her husband, the Rev. James W. Campbell; sons, Stephen J. Campbell of Huntsville and Harold W. Campbell of Sterling Heights, Mich.; daughter, Lilah C. Williams of Owens Cross Roads; sister, Willie Jean Stephens of Huntsville; grandchildren, Will Campbell, Clint Reed, Misty Glover, Grant Reed, Blake Campbell, Brittney McMinn, and Byron Campbell; and great-grandchildren, Hunter Campbell, Ada Reed, Hollee Campbell, and Allison McMinn.Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today at Concord Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Buddy Alverson officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to C.P.W. at Concord Church, 354 Roy Davis Road, New Market, AL 35761.
