Alton Wade "Crash" Roland of Elora, TN, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024.

The family of Alton Wade Roland of Elora is saddened to announce his passing on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at the age of 62 years.

Alton was born in Lincoln County, Tennessee, in 1962. He was a jack of all trades and worked for himself for the majority of his life. Alton devoted his life to helping anyone who needed it.

He will be lovingly remembered by his survivors:

Wife: Virgie Roland of 40 years

Children: Samantha Phelps (Patrick) and Katherine Crick (Tyler)

Grandchildren: Brody Phelps, Elijah Phelps, Tristan Phelps, Carter Phelps, Matthew Crick, Liam Crick

Brothers: Mike Bolin, Alvis Bolin, Eddie Carter

Raised as brothers: Billy Kent, Ricky Crabtree, Earl Ray Carter

Brother-in-law: Jay Knebel

Sisters: Judy (Steve) Mayberry, Lisa (Nathan) Ganon

Sister-in-law: Teresa Bolin

Numerous relatives and friends

He will be dearly missed by his friends at Taylor Family Farms and by many people he was acquainted within the community.

Alton was preceded in death by his parents: Alton (Jodean) Roland, Charles (Elnora) Bolin, and Junior (Betty) Pigg; sisters: Kathleen Williams, Janie William, Carolyn Tucker, and Penny Tucker; brothers: Dan Bolin and Dewayne Pigg; sister-in-law: Annie Knebel; and grandchildren: Tanner Crick and Scarlett Crick.

Join us as we come together and honor the life of Alton Wade Roland on Saturday, June 22, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at Hazel Green Funeral Home. The service will begin immediately following at 4:00 PM.
