Audrey Jo (Symanowski) Knutson

Audrey Jo Knutson was born June 10, 1935, in Reeder, North Dakota, to Joe and Lillian Symanowski. She attended schools in Gascoyne and Scranton, North Dakota. She married James Knutson on October 9, 1951. She was a loving wife and wonderful mother to four wonderful children: Larry, Gwen, Kurt (Daughter-in-Law, Charlotte), and Tracy (Son-in-Law, Jack).  She was also a caretaker to both her parents who died of cancer. She worked at Bowman Hospital and later Huntsville Hospital. She was a talented artist, and she was passionate about the many animals she raised.

She is survived by her husband, James, and children, Larry, Gwen, Kurt, and Tracy. She is also survived by nine grandchildren: Jennifer, Laura, Lee, Joshua, Joseph, Charissa, Stacey, John, and Kelly; her great-grandchildren: Aurora, Alex, Clayton, Maegan, Kaelyn, and Bryant; her sister, Gail; her brother, Gary and sister-in-law, Evelyn; numerous Knutson brothers in law and sisters in law, and nieces and nephews. She was loved by so many friends, especially Libby.

Saint Peter opened the gates at 5:15 pm to welcome her home.

A funeral service will be at Thursday at 3PM at Hazel Green Funeral Home. The family will begin receiving friends at One O’ Clock in the Afternoon. Burial will follow the service and be held at Golightly Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Randy Buckner, Ray Milligan, John Johnson, Bret Johnson, Joe Johnson, Wesley Harbuck, Clayton Milligan, and Bill Wick. Hazel Green Funeral Home is honored to serve the family
