Becky Clardy Jones

Becky Clardy Jones, 61, of Hazel Green, peacefully entered the arms of Jesus on Wednesday evening while surrounded by her loving family.   She was a faithful Christian and a long-time, faithful member of Hayes Chapel Baptist Church.

Becky was a 1979 graduate of Hazel Green High School.   Shortly after graduation, she married her high school sweetheart, Carey Jones.  In July, they celebrated 44 wonderful years of marriage.  She was most proud of her family and was a devoted wife to Carey, mother to Stephanie, mother-in-law to Jason, sister to her eight siblings, and grandmother to Logan and Carson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bud & Laverne Clardy.

Surviving family members include her husband, Carey Jones;  Her daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie & Jason Payne;  Her grandsons, Carson Payne and Logan Payne;  Her siblings: Barney Ables, Carla (Paul) Biggart, Jack (Rita) Clardy, Rhonda Clardy,  Eddie (Barbara) Clardy, JR (Kayron) Clardy, Judie (Mike) Donovan, Johnny (Darlene) Clardy.  She is also survived by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul & Marilyn Jones and by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5pm until 8pm at Hayes Chapel Baptist Church in New Market.   The family will receive friends again on Saturday beginning at 11am at the church.  Funeral services will follow at 1pm at the church with Pastor Jeff Bennett and Pastor Cleo Moon officiating. Burial will follow the service and will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
