Bertha Whitehead CaldwellAugust 26, 1913 ~ May 10, 2010Mrs. Bertha Whitehead Caldwell, 96, of New Market died Monday at her residence. She is survived by her daughters, Ila B. Medlen and husband Bob, Joyce Nunley and husband Jack; eight grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and eight great great-grandchildren. Mrs. Caldwell was preceded in death by two husbands, Daniel W. Whitehead and Alton Caldwell and one great-grandson. Visitation is Thursday 12 noon to 2 pm at Bevill's Chapel Baptist Church. The funeral service will be Thursday 2 pm at the church with Rev. Benny Berry and Dr. Tommy Bolan officiating. Burial will follow in Taylor Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Hazel Green Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
