Betty Bell, 64, of Hazel Green, went to her final home on Sunday while surrounded by her loving family. Betty was known to many people as "the bread lady" because she had worked for many years with the Merita Bread Store on North Parkway in Huntsville.
Betty was a sweet and caring person who was known for her love for others. She selflessly put the needs of others before her own needs. The love and concern she had for others was the result of her love for Jesus and for Hayes Chapel Baptist Church where she faithfully served the Lord. Betty also loved to go out to eat and to travel.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte Manhart; By her brothers, Jim Kinnaird and Tom Kinnaird; By her special friends, Ginger Anderson and Mila Hoffmaster; and by her brothers-in-law, Johnny Bell, Jerry Dunn, and Jack Tisdale.
Surviving family members include her husband of 32 years, Tim Bell; Her fur baby, Zoie Mae; Her siblings: Dave & Jan Kinnaird, Patty & Eddie Egerstaffer, Kathy Dunn, Scott & Leiha Manhart, and Linda Tisdale; Her special adopted sister, Janice Stone; Her sisters-in-law, Sue Kinnaird and Lesia Traylor; Her brother-in-law, Lonnie Stone; She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and by her Hayes Chapel Baptist Church family.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5 until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be Saturday at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Eddie Clardy officiating.
The family would like to express special thanks to Hospice of North Alabama for the wonderful service they provided, and the special friends who selflessly cared for Betty.
