Betty Jo Pendergraft
February 2, 1940 — October 5, 2022
Betty Jo Pendergraft, 82, of New Market, passed away on Wednesday at her home.
She was a good Christian lady who loved the Lord and her children and grandchildren. She had a giving heart and always tried to help others.
She was preceded in death by her son, Joey "Bo" Maples; Her parents, Joseph Wheeler Pendergraft Sr and Ola Kate Newgent Pendergraft; Her siblings: James Cagle, Iva Jean Lamb, Rachel Lamb, Alta Moore, Faye Brewer, and Joseph "Mousey" Pendergraft; Her grandson, Joshua Maples.
Surviving family members include her children, ,Cynthia Leopold (Bill), Brenda Pogue Skipworth (Dean), Johnny Maples, and Pamela Pogue; Her brothers: Robert Pendergraft; Her sister, Katie Brewer; She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and other loved ones.
The family will receive friends on Saturday beginning at Noon at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cochran Cemetery.
