Betty Sue Moore

On Thursday, January 14, 2021, Betty Sue Moore, of Hazel Green, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior.

She was born on May 17, 1932 in Sherwood, Tennessee. Sue married Buddy Moore on October 17, 1953 and together they raised two beautiful daughters.  A resident of Madison County for over 67 years, she retired from Chesebrough-Ponds.

She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.  She was a member of Flint River Baptist Church in Meridianville.  She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, attending to her gardens and traveling.  She will be remembered fondly for her sweet disposition, love for her family, delicious meals, and her graceful manner of coping with life’s difficulties.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J.D. and Susie Lynch, three brothers, Buddy, Dick and Ralph, three sisters, Anna Clara, Charlsie and Thelma and her husband, Buddy.

Surviving family members include her sister Jean Abney (Tom), two daughters Rita Moore and Bonnie Coates (Lane), two grandchildren Drew Coates (Erica) and Amanda Reynolds (Andrew) and four great grandchildren.

A gravesite service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 19 at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
