Bettye Linton Pylant McLeroyMrs. Bettye Linton Pylant McLeroy, 76, of Fayetteville, Tenn., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 26.Visitation will be held at 3:00 pm, Friday October 28, at Hazel Green Funeral Home, with a memorial service to follow at 4:00.Born March 16, 1935, to Georgia Linton and Pedro Pylant, Bettye worked for several years as a teacher and guidance counselor at Flintville Jr. High. After her retirement, she worked part time for Farrar Animal Clinic and then spent her free time attending Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) classes at UAHuntsville.In lieu of flowers and in keeping with Bettye's tradition of memorials, along with her love of reading and animals, the family requests any memorial donations be made to the OLLI Scholarship Fund (OLLI@uah.edu), Friends of the Library (Huntsville Madison County Public Library) or a local animal shelter.Bettye was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sons, Ronnie (Denise) and Rick (Katie) McLeroy; her daughters, Robbi (Dave) McKenzie, Rea (Jimmy) White and Rae (Todd) Spencer; and her grandchildren Allison Armstrong, Samantha McLeroy, Andrew McLeroy, Leiren McKenzie, Zane White, Barbie Huff, Brandie Huff, Gretta Wright and Sophia Wright.
