Billy Ray Yell Sr
September 8, 1939 — March 10, 2015
Mr. Billy Ray Yell Sr. , 75, of Hazel Green, passed away at a local hospital on Tuesday. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and then worked for a number of years as a farmer and in the tractor business.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Virginia Hopkins Yell; His two sisters, Mildred Yell Mullins and Hazel Yell Stephens.
He is survived by his children: Elizabeth Raye Yell (Bradley) Drach of Flintville, TN, Douglas Brian (Dena) Yell of Toney, AL, Walter Shane (Misty) Yell of Dun, LA, Billy Ray Yell II of Winnsboro, LA, and Christopher Scott Yell of Winnsboro, LA; 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Hubert (Jackie) Yell Jr. of Geneva, AL, and his sister, Frances Yell (Gene) Campbell of Hazel Green, AL along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be Tuesday at 2pm at Charity Cemetery in Hazel Green.
