Bobby Ray Gray age 89 died peacefully on the 31st of January 2021 at his home in Elora, Tennessee. Bobby was born August 18, 1931 in Double Springs, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents, Odis and Agnes Gray, one son, Terry Dale Gray and one daughter, Tina Rodgers. Bobby is survived by his life partner, Doris Key of Elora, Tn., one son, Larry Gray (Diane) of Fayetteville, Tn., two daughters, Pam Drake of Fayetteville, Tn. And Charlotte Jacobs of Hazel Green, Al., brothers, Wayne Gray of Early Branch, S.C., and Joe Gray of Northport, Al. He also leaves nine grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. He is also survived by Dewayne Owens and his beloved dog, Friskie along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Bobby had a rewarding professional life retiring from Ford Motor Company and Teledyne in Lewisburg, Tn. He was dedicated to his community exemplified by his active membership in the Elora Volunteer Fire Department for sixteen years and running the Elora Community Center for several years. His hobbies included fishing, gardening, woodworking and making birdhouses out of gourds he grew himself.
A visitation/viewing of two hours will be at Hazel Green Funeral Home on Saturday February 20th from 1pm till 3pm followed by cremation and his ashes will be buried in Antioch Cemetery in Double Springs, Al. at a later date.
