Mr. Carl Flynt, 86, of Hazel Green, passed away on Thursday at his home surrounded by his family.

He worked at Huntsville Manufacturing for 17 years and was a farmer for all his life.   He enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Bessie Flynt, and by his brothers:  Louie Flynt, Leonard Flynt, Walter Flynt, and by his sisters, Carolyn Flynt, Louise Hunter, Helen Manley, and Florence Tanner.

Surviving family members include his wife of 65 years, Betty Jean Flynt;  His two sons, Jackie Flynt and Todd (Denise) Flynt; His grandchildren:  Maranda Flynt, Dylan Flynt, and Weslee Flynt;  His great-grandchildren: Deven Beard, Alexus Beard, and Madison Stewart;  His great-great-granddaughter, LakeLeigh Ray Hale;   His brother, A.C. Flynt;  His sisters: Edith Wilson and Peggy Boatwright.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 5 until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be Sunday at 1:30pm at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Pastor Lon Ostrzycki officiating.  Burial will follow the service and will be in Charity Cemetery.
