Cary Lee WestMarch 11, 1963 ~ May 16, 2011Cary Lee West, 48, of Huntsville passed away Monday, May 16th.He served in the U.S. Navy and has been employed at the U.S. Postal Service for over 20 years. He was an active member of Holmes Street United Methodist Church. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend to many. Cary was an avid golfer, enjoyed being around friends, but most of all loved being with his family.He is survived by his wife, Sheri L. West, his daughter, Ashley West Elmore and son-in-law Josh Elmore, his son, Mitchell B. West, daughters Makenzie and Shelby Hill, and granddaughter Peyton Elmore. He is also survived by his father and mother, Claude and Dean West, his sisters, Robyn West and Sharon West Appel, brother-in-law Mark Appel, grandfather Wildon Neely, sister-in-laws, Lea Anne Schultz, Robin Clark, and brother-in-law David Hillis; along with countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and family members.Visitation with the family will be Friday, May 20th from 10:00 - 12:00 at Holmes Street United Methodist Church with the service beginning at 12:00. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Holmes Street United Methodist Church. Hazel Green Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
