Catherine Whiteley Smithey

Catherine (Aunt Kaki) V. Whiteley Smithey 85, of New Market departed this life December 17, 2012 at her son's home, following a bout with cancer.A visitation will be Thursday 5 until 8 Pm at Hazel green Funeral Home. The funeral will be Friday at 2 PM at the Funeral home with the Rev. Larry Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery.Mrs. Smithey was a member of Mt. Fork Baptist Church. She is preceeded in death by beloved husband, Willie Desso (Sooner) Smithey, a precious infant daughter, Mother and Father, two sisters and many other loved ones.Survivors include one son, Jackie Darrell Smithey and wife Dianne, one daughter Judy Lynn Miller and husband Rayford; two grandchildren, seven great grand children, three great great grandchildren, one sister Ruth Clark, two brothers, Albert and James Whiteley, and a host of many loved ones and friends.A special thanks to Dr. Mahapatra her family Dr. Dr. Hon and Dr. E the staff at Clearview cancer Center, the nurses at Huntsville hospital and the wonderful staff with Good Samaritan Hospice in Madison for caring for her during her illness.
