Charles Mayes

Mr. Charles Mayes, 84, of Huntsville, passed away on Tuesday at his home while surrounded by his loving family.

He was a veteran of the United States AIr Force and had retired from civil service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Carrie Mayes;  By five brothers and two sisters.

Surviving family members include his wife of 56 years, Helen V. "Gen" Mayes;  Two daughters, Sherry Mayes and Pamela Bouslog;  4 grandchildren:  Shannon Hayes, Nathan Barnes, Allison Gallucci, and Sarah Bouslog;  Two sisters, Sonjia Anderson and Joyce Carter; He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 12 until 2pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2pm at the funeral home with Pastor Benny Berry officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Bevill's Cemetery.
