Services for Charles “Charlie” Alexander Wilbanks age 61 of Hazel Green will be conducted Wednesday 6PM from the Hazel Green Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Clyde Thompson officiating. Charlie passed away on July 14, 2019 at his home in Hazel Green surrounded by his family and loved ones. Charlie was preceded in death by his father, Homzie Wilbanks, his mother, Jenny Wilbanks, one sister, Shirley Hall and one grandson, Preston Cothren.
Charlie leaves behind his wife of thirty years, Brenda Hamm Wilbanks, two sons, Charles “Chucky” Wilbanks (Brittany) and James “Bubba” Roden (Kelley), four daughters, April Dover, Flora “Christi” Thornton (Rusty), Helen “Tini” Daugherty (Tim) and Heather Terry. He had sixteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Sam Wilbanks and Ricky Wilbanks, four sisters, Frances Miller, Gene Lockard, Helen Pressley and Frankie Anderson. He also leaves behind a special and honorable nephew, Jerry Lockard along with several nieces and nephews. Charlie was born in Lincoln County December 11, 1957 but resided in Madison County for Many years. Charlie will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was a loving husband and father to his children and stepchildren. He enjoyed spending time with his family, he was a hard worker all his life and people that knew him knew that he was there for anyone who asked for his help.
