Eva Christine MurrayJune 14, 1927 - March 4, 2012 Eva Christine Murray, born June 14, 1927, went home to be with the Lord on March 4, 2012. She was a loving wife of 53 years to her husband J.C. Murray, who passed away in 1998. Christine was a resident of Athens, Alabama for 32 years and lived her last three years in New Market, Alabama. She was loved by many and her legacy will live on. She is preceded in death by her parents Murry and Lethie Moore; siblings; Martin Moore, Velma Jones, Bobbie Moore; children, Hank Murray, Dorothy Helms, and J.W. Murray; and one granddaughter. She is survived by her daughters Bobbie Newell of Athens and Eva Armstrong of New Market; son-in-law, Ricky Armstrong; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank her team from Hospice of North Alabama: Chris, Alisha, and Tracy, for their loving care and support over the last two years. Visitation is Tuesday 5 to 9 pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. The funeral service is Wednesday 1 pm at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Donald Terry officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery. Hazel Green Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
