Cindy McGinnis CantrellJuly 24, 1953 ~ December 2, 2009Cindy McGinnis Cantrell, 56, of Hazel Green, died Wednesday at a local hospital after a long illness. She was a floral designer and was known for being caring, dedicated, and helpful by her customers, friends, and family and was an avid Alabama football fan. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter "Dub" McGinnis and by her brother, Moe McGinnis.Survivors include her daughter, Kim Taylor; Her son, Philip Cantrell; Her mother: Kathryn McGinnis; Her sister: Lynn Tomlin; Brothers: Chris and Ronny McGinnis. Grandson: Damon Taylor.The family will receive friends on Sunday beginning at 1pm at Spry's Hazel Green Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 3pm. Per Cindy's wishes, a cremation will be held after the funeral service.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cindy McGinnis Cantrell Family Memorial Fund at any Redstone Federal Credit Union branch.
