Colin Malcolm Hargrove

Colin Malcolm Hargrove, 78, passed on February 2, 2022, with his daughter Nichole by his side.

Colin was born at home September 6, 1943, in Huntsville, AL to Wilburn Malcolm and Martha Pina Hargrove.  He was a retired Command Sergeant Major of the United States Army who served in Vietnam and earned a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart.  After retirement, he enjoyed selling cars at Woody Anderson Ford and Saturn of Huntsville.

Colin was preceded in death by his parents. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by wife, Paula and brothers-in-law, John Thomas and Joe Cyr. Colin and Paula were married on June 16, 1994, in Meridianville, Alabama and traveled many places together including Germany, Hawaii, Seattle and more.  They were also involved in many Veteran organizations including the North Alabama Veterans Mental Health Council.

Colin is survived by his daughters Nichole and Julia, granddaughter Kayleigh, great grandson Stiles and his sisters Texia Mae Thomas, Linda Beverly (Ray) Karen Gipson (Bob) and Carol Cyr and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Tut Fann Veterans Home for the gentle and kind care given to Colin during his final years.

Visitation will be Friday, Feburary 4, 2022 from 5:00 - 7:00 at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 5, at 11:00 AM at Hazel Green Funeral Home with burial following at Gatlin Cemetery.
