Daniel Alfred Kniess (59), peacefully passed away Thursday, July 9, 2015 at his home in Hazel Green, AL.
He was born in Troy, Missouri on September 3, 1955 to Harold Alfred Kniess and Ena Alice Tadlock Kniess. Dan enjoyed gardening, woodworking, fishing and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Pamela, children Todd Tarkington and wife Vanessa, Tanya Tarkington, and Ryan Kniess; brothers Jim Hamilton and wife Vera, Steven Kniess and wife Christina, Mark Kniess and wife Sandy, David Kniess and wife Denise, sisters Jeannie Thomasson and husband Wayne; Teresa Kniess and grandchildren Ryan Michael Kniess, Desiree Jean Talley, Devan Levi Kniess, John Paul Kniess, Tyler Daniel Drowns, Tanner Mitchell Tarkington, and Tucker Wayne Tarkington.
Visitation will be at the Hazel Green Funeral Home Saturday from 11:00 until Noon on Saturday, July 11, 2015. Funeral services will follow at Noon at the funeral home with Pastor Mike McFarlen officiating.
