Danisha Lynn Grierson

Danisha Lynn Grierson was born September 5, 1971 in Hartford, Connecticut to Yvonne and Daniel Grierson Sr.

Danisha, or as many called her "Dani" or "Nisha," graduated from Synergy Alternative High School in East Hartford, Connecticut in 1989. Danisha was a hard worker, always holding at least 2 jobs to support her and her daughter. Danisha worked as a bartender around the East Hartford area and was known for her fun-loving, bubbly persona. Danisha was a Disability Case Manager at Cigna in Hartford, CT for over 10 years until she became disabled.

Danisha thoroughly enjoyed her ability to sign after attending classes and receiving her certification to teach American Sign Language. She also enjoyed crafting, social events and spending time with her boyfriend, daughter, her grandchildren, or "grabies" as she called them.

Danisha departed this Earth on August 18, 2021. She was preceded in death by her mother, Yvonne Grierson, and her father, Daniel Grierson Sr., both of which she held very close to her heart.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her long-time boyfriend, Vincent Reilly, her only child, Corissa  Wilson, her grandson, Cory Wilson, her granddaughter, Cora Wilson and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation with the family will be held Sunday, September 5 at Hazel Green Funeral Home, from 2:00 - 4:00.
