Darius "Deejaye" Lacrae Edwards

Darius LaCrae "DeeJaye" Edwards was born January 27, 1996 To Mrs. Demetria Edwards Montgomery and transitioned from this life on July 18, 2017 at Huntsville Hospital.  He attended  Hazel Green High School and was a graduate in the class of 2015.   He was a professional video gamer and was a member of Impact Ministries of Huntsville.

Precious memories of Darius will be forever cherished by his mother and father, Mrs. Demetria Edwards Montgomery and Mr. Jeffrey Montgomery, and by his two brothers, Christian and Simeon Montgomery - all of Huntsville, Alabama;  His two aunts, Tina Merritt and Rita Ricks-Porter of Huntsville, Alabama;  By his grandmothers, Elaine Merritt and Mable Porter of Huntsville, Alabama, and Lucille Montgomery of Beatrice, Alabama;  His uncle, Reginald (Vickie Montgomery, great aunts, Martha Edwards, Dorothy Edwards, Irene Mack, Nannie Miller, Sue (George) Hines, Reva Green - of Huntsville, Alabama, and Pauline (Everret) King of Dayton, Ohio;  Special cousins, Malcolm Edwards, Michael Edwards, and Victor Kamanga of Huntsville, Alabama;  By a dear friend, Gabby Morton of Hazel Green, Alabama, and by a host of other cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:30pm until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday at 1pm at the funeral home with Pastor Eric Robinson and Pastor Justin Draper officiating.  Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
