Dean Moore

Johnnie Dean Moore of New Market went to be with the Lord on Friday morning. He was 63.  Dean spent his life in New Market in the Plevna Community and was a graduate of Buckhorn High School. He was a life-long farmer and had retired from the City of Huntsville after 25 years of service.

Dean was a member of Life Church Huntsville and was passionate about his Christian faith.  He was always willing to tell others about Jesus wherever he went.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Wesley & Martha McCormick Moore;   his brother, Roger Wesley Moore;  his sister, Rita Moore Mason;  his father-in-law, Kenneth Wayne Brockway;  his brother-in-law, Tommy Howard.

Surviving family members include his wife of 45 years, Sheila Brockway Moore;  his sister, Cathy Moore Howard; his brother, Danny Wayne Moore; his niece, Mindy K. Crabb (Duane); his niece, Teiera Kay Mason; his nephew, Daniel Wesley Moore (Amanda); his niece, Stacey Moore Henshaw (Scott); He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews, by his mother-in-law, Faye Brockway, by his brother-in-law, Jackie Mason, his sister-in-law, Annette Wade, and by many friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5PM until 8PM at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday at 11am at Life Church Huntsville with Pastor Kevin McGlamery officiating.   Burial will follow the service and will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery on J.B. Walker Road in New Market.

Dean will be remembered for his love for his family, for his faith in Christ, for his kind heart, his smile, and for being a friend to everyone he met.
