Survivors include his wife, Peggy Kirkland; his children, Allen and Connie Kirkland, D.R. "Bubba" and Linda Kirkland, Steve Kirkland and Joseph Kirkland; his sisters, Idell Childers, Doris Key and Helen Thomas; his brother, J.C. Kirkland; his grandchildren, Heather Webb, Joshua Kirkland, Adam Kirkland, Blake Kirkland, Michael Richardson, Lisa Richardson, Heather Cook, Jeremy Kirkland, Melissa Kirkland, Daniel Kirkland and Kaylah Kirkland; eight great grand-children and a host of loving family members and friends. Visitation is Saturday 5 to 9 PM at the Elkwood Holiness Church. The funeral service is Sunday 3 PM at the Elkwood Holiness Church with Bro. Royce Estes and Bro. Dale Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow in Elkwood Cemetery. Hazel Green Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
