Dr. Donald Herbert Daebler, 71, of Hazel Green, Alabama, passed away on Saturday.
Dr. Daebler was born in Shawano, Wisconsin and was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and Southwest University. In 1964, he married his wife of 51 years, Diane Meyer. Having spent his career working in engineering, he retired from Sanmini-SCI in 2012. Donald was a member of Hazel Green United Methodist Church and enjoyed woodworking, fishing, boating, traveling, and gardening, especially enjoying tending his roses.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Clara Daebler.
Surviving family members include his wife, Diane Daebler; His daughters, Susette Cheatham and her husband, Tommy of Lewisburg, Tennessee, and Heather Ann Daebler of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; His grandchildren, Shannon Tennant and her husband, Seth, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Brent Cheatham of Lewisburg, Tennessee; His brothers, John Daebler of Nekoosa, Wisconsin and Robert Daebler of Lawton, Oklahoma; His sister, Betty Ruege of Phoenix, Arizona.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday at 1pm at Hazel Green United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2:30pm at the church with Rev. Al Geise officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens.
