Doris Virginia Knight

Funeral services for Doris Knight age 71 of Meridianville will be conducted Monday 11 AM at Hazel Green Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Keel and Bro. Gary Tucker officiating. Graveside services will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Park in Bryant, Alabama 3PM CST Mrs. Knight passed away Thursday at Huntsville Hospital.

She was a native of Dade County, Georgia and a daughter of the late Alvin and Mable Pritchett Short. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Willard Short.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, John Guindal Knight, three daughters, Tammie and Mike Warren, Danielle Sanders and Macara and Tracy Herron, five grandchildren, Chris Warren, Dylan Sanders, Shelby and Cole Gossett, Sheridan Herron and Dawson Sanders, one great grandchild, Parker Gossett, four sisters, Geraldine York, Sheila and Randy Brown, Beverly and Jerome Wright and Carolyn Short and a host of nieces and nephews and many, many more that called her “Aunt Doris” Pallbearers will be Rodney Brown, Tony Brown, Caleb Kirkpatrick, John Manley, Adrian McAllister, Jamison McAllister and Dustin Wright.

Visitation will be Sunday 4-7 PM at Hazel Green Funeral Home.
