Doris Jean Roden

Doris Jean Roden, 95, of New Market, Alabama, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024, at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Huntsville, Alabama, a graduate of Risen School, and a member of Jackson Way Baptist Church.  She retired from Comcast. She loved her family and Jesus and would do anything she could for anybody.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Billy” Roden; her daughter, Jeannie Landman; and her parents, John and Ida Cagle.

She is survived by her children, Susan Duggan, Teresa Landrem (Corey), Paula Farrar, Eddie Roden (Demetria); grandchildren, Tracy Tucker (Chris), James Pate, Greg Cole, Monica Land (Bobby), Brandi Hasley (Derek), April Kampworth (Bryce), Ashley Roden, and Haley Roden.  She is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Janice Stone; brother, Paul Cagle (Pat); sister-in-law, Martha Faye Cagle, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at one o’clock in the afternoon at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Services will follow at three o’clock at the funeral home with Garry Solberg officiating.   Burial will follow the service and will be in Concord Cemetery.
