Doris (Henderson) Scott

Mrs. Doris Henderson Scott, 94, of Taft, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Wednesday at Millennium Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center.

She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother.  She was known as Gran to many people.  Mrs. Scott enjoyed working outside in her yard, quilting, and working in apples at Scott’s Orchard.  She was a dedicated Christian and a member of Unity Church of Christ.

She was born January 22, 1924, in Birmingham, AL, to the late Garland & Mamie Sullivan Henderson.  Mrs. Scott was also preceded in death by her husband, Grady L. Scott; her sister, Lenore Delap; her brother, Claude Henderson; and by her great-grandson, Hayden C. Hammons.

Surviving family members include her son, Ronald (Linda) Scott; her daughter, Judy (Larry) Mullins; her grandchildren, Amy (Justin) Harwell, Angie (Jeremy) Jewell, and Patrick Scott; and her great-grandchildren, Baylee (Jake) Taylor and Maycee Anne Hammons.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, November 18, at 2 pm at Riverview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville, TN, with Bro. Wayne Harvell officiating.
