Dortha Nell Bentley Moyers
October 1, 1946 — June 18, 2014
Dortha Nell Bentley Moyers, 67, of Meridianville, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday.
Mrs. Moyers was a 1964 graduate of Hazel Green High School. She had been a cosmetologist for 40+ years and had last worked at Classic Cuts in Madison. She was a loving & generous wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend to all she met. She thought about others instead of herself, even when she was sick. She had a special love for children, a wonderful sense of humor, and was a very determined person.
Mrs. Moyers is survived by her husband, Ernest "Jr" Moyers, her sons, Greg Moyers and Robert Moyers and his wife, Misty Moyers; Her grandchildren: Cody Moyers, Ainslie Moyers, and Karissa Moyers; 2 great-grandchildren: Waylon and Nolan Moyers; Her sister: Delores Bentley; Her brothers, Pete Bentley and Solon Bentley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Whitney and Lula Mae Ricketts Bentley; Her siblings: Lillie Pearl Tallent, Maxine Bentley, William M. "Jim" Bentley, and Donald Dean Bentley.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10am at the funeral home chapel and burial will follow in Taylor Cemetery on Butler Road in New Market.
