Mr. Earl Pogue, 69, of Hazel Green, passed away on Monday morning at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Earl was a hard worker and went to work every day to support his family. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Vietnam. He loved his country, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his dog, Chica. He was an avid Alabama football fan and was a proud supporter of the Republican party.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mamie Lou & James William Pogue; His sister, Margie Mae Hill; His brother, John William Pogue; His brother, Ronald Wayne Pogue; His sister, Patricia Ann Pogue.
Surviving family members include his daughters: Patricia Bradford, Sheryl (Nick) Colbert, and Traci (Mikie) Ricketts; His grandchildren: Christopher Bradford, Michael Bradford, Blake Pogue, Alex Bradford, Ariel Knight, Stephanie Bradford, Dallas Colbert, Andrew Ricketts, Bryan Ricketts, Cory Ricketts, Dustin Ricketts, and Easton Ricketts; His great-grandchildren: Collin Knight and Anastin Knight; His brothers: Floyd Edward Pogue, James Pogue, Charles Ray Pogue; His sisters: Joyce Marie Boles, Mary Lou Pendergraft, Linda Gayle Moon, and Barbara Lee Peeler.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5 to 8pm. A Celebration of Life will be on Thursday at 11am at Hazel Green Funeral Home with Pastor Benny Berry officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Vann Town, Tennessee.
