Ed Owens

Mr. Ed Owens, affectionately known as "Pawpaw," passed away on Thursday.  He was 90.

Mr. Owens was always there to help others who needed him.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Owens and by his brothers: Stan Owens, A.C. Owens, and Charles Owens;  His sisters: Betty Bates, Bobbie Mason, and Geraldine Pardon.

Surviving family members include his children: Eddie (Reba) Owens, Charlotte (Ricky) Wiseman, Daphne (Terry) McNeal, and Pam Warren;  His grandchildren:  Jamie McNeal, Erica Sawler, Dayland Warren, Taylor Owens, Brittany McNeal, and Chad Warren;  His great-grandchildren: Aubrie, Sophia, Kaylnn, Everlee, Abel, Oliver, Austyn;  His sister, Jane Pruitt.  He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 12pm to 2pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be at 2pm in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Billy Moore and Craig Bledsoe officiating.  Burial will follow and will be in Miller Cemetery.

Pallbearers for the service will be Jamie McNeal, Craig Bledsoe, Scotty Cagle, Anthony Bates, Jessie Syler, Brian Bailey and Jeff Cagle.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Louis Bledsoe for being a dear friend to Mr. Owens.
