Mrs. Thornton is survived by her husband, Rickey Thornton; several cousins; several aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her parents, Estel and Lora Mathis; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation is Thursday 12 noon to 2 pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. The funeral service is 2 pm Thursday at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Kim Scites officiating. Burial will follow in Stateline Cemetery. Hazel Green Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
