Era Jane Campbell

Era Hill Campbell, 91, passed away Tuesday. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Campbell and two sisters, Lucille Shockley and Ruth Stafford, and three brothers, James Hill, William Hill and Bryson Hill, Jr.

Era and J.W. worked together in the grocery business their entire working life, first at C&M Grocery on Monte Sano, then C&M Grocery in East Huntsville and then semi-retired and helped his brother at Campbell’s Store on Highway 72, east. They were members of Plainview Church of Christ.

She is survived by her children, Joe Campbell and Nancy Echelmeier and her husband, Steve. Her grandchildren,
Justin Campbell and his wife, Brianne and Ryan Campbell and his wife, Colleen, Shari Windsor and her husband, Luke, Kenda Lasater and her husband, Lee, and Lindsey Patterson and her husband, Casey. She had nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 10-11 am Saturday, January 25 at Hazel Green Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at Stateline Cemetery.
