Erbin CopeJuly 15, 1919 ~ November 18, 2010Mr. Erbin Cope, 91, of Hazel Green, went to be with the Lord on Thursday while surrounded by his family. He had retired from the US Army and had been the operator of the FINA/Jet Pep Station in Meridianville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Hunter Cope. Two grandchildren, Andy Wallace and Stephanie Petty. Brother, George Cope. Sister, Louise Mayfield, and by his parents, Corbin and Micheal Cope. He is survived by his 3 daughters, Barbara Clardy and her husband, Eddie. Terrie Cope, and by Gina Petty and her husband, Steve. By his son, Max Cope and his wife, Denise. Grandchildren: Amanda and Mark Payne, Amy and Chris Vinson, Brooke Clardy, and Allen Wharton, and Lindsey and Dustin Whorton. Great-grandchildren: Kayleigh Wharton, Stephanie and Hutson Ann Payne, Lily Vinson, and Reanna Perry. His brother, Marvin "Pete" Cope, and his sister, Mary Jane Cooper.The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 5 until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Sunday at 2pm at the funeral home with Rev. Cleo Moon and Rev. Jeff Bennett officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Concord Cemetery.
