Ernestine Buford Tucker

Ernestine Buford Tucker, 94, of Hazel Green, passed away on Monday at her home.

Mrs. Tucker was a Christian and attended church at Randolph Church of Christ, Huntsville Park Church of Christ, and Shiloh Church of Christ.   She had worked at the YMCA and loved serving young people.  She cared deeply about her family, especially her husbands, Earl and J.W. , her four sons, and her grandchildren. Mrs. Tucker was a gifted calligrapher and also enjoyed painting and growing flowers, especially irises, around her home.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Earl Buford and J.W. Tucker and her son, Randall "Bit" Buford;

Surviving family members include her son, Rex Buford;  Her son, Tommy Buford;  Her son and daughter-in-law, Robyn & Jane Buford;  Her sister, Nancy Tipton; Her grandchildren:  Allyson (Scott) Rogers, Chris (Emily) Buford, Leslie (Heath) Blalock, Shelby (Matt) Hipp, Haley (Brian) Brown, Andrew Lee, and Seth Lee; She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Lauren, Conner, Caraline, Blaire, Brady, Tristan, Jacie, Lilly, Dalton, Nolan, and Abby.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:30pm until 2:00pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  A graveside service will follow at 2:30pm at Huntsville Memory Gardens with Chris Buford officiating.
