Faye Vann Bentley, long-time resident of Fayetteville, Tennessee, but originally of Hazel Green, Alabama passed away on Thursday at home while surrounded by her loving family. She was 84.
Mrs. Bentley was a 1957 graduate of Hazel Green High School.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister and cared deeply about her family. She loved music, fashion, shopping, and enjoyed reading. Faye was an intelligent and gifted businesswoman. She, along with her husband, owned and operated Howard Bentley Buick GMC in Fayetteville for forty years along with several other businesses including Huntsville Speedway.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Howard Wayne Bentley; Her brothers, Herman Vann and Kenneth Vann; Her parents: Olen & Lucille Vann.
Surviving family members include her son, Howard Wayne Bentley Jr. and his wife, Kathy; Her daughter, Shawn Bentley; Her grandchildren: Taylor Bentley Conner (Jon), Alana Bentley, and Tyler Bentley; her great-granddaughter, Bentley Ann Conner; her sisters, Sandra Vann and Kathy (Paul) Rudolph; She is also survived by her beloved dog, Lottie.
There will be a graveside funeral service on Monday at 1pm at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Vann Town. Tennessee with Pastor Joey Cannady officiating.
