Geneva Carter Elliff
March 3, 1932 — May 22, 2019
Geneva Carter Elliff, 87, of Toney, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday while surrounded by her loving family.
She was a Christian and had been a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church in Toney, worked for almost 30 years at Genesco, and then worked for the Madison County Commission in Data Processing at the courthouse.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Elliff; Her parents, Marion & Pearl Carter; Her grandsons: Jonathan Elliff and Waylon Brazelton; Her great-grandsons: Cooper Phillips and Carter Phillips.
Surviving family members include her son and daughter-in-law, Johnny & Laurie Elliff; Her grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Matthew & Meghin Elliff; Her granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Haley & Josh (Leyton and Presley) Owens; Her great-grandchildren: Haley (Nick) Holmes, Katelyn Elliff, Hannah Elliff, Coleman Phillips, and Caine Elliff; Her great-great grandson, Ben Holmes.
The family will receive friends on Saturday beginning at Noon at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2pm at the funeral home with Pastor Randy Watts officiating. Burial will be in Charity Cemetery.
