Gregory Ray Moore, 54, of Hazel Green, passed away on Thursday.

Greg was a person of strong faith and was a Christian.

Greg was a 1981 graduate of Hazel Green High School and then worked with his dad, Ray Moore, in their business - Tennessee Valley Auto Parts, for several years, and also were in the construction business together.  He was an entrepreneur and operated his own business, Tennessee Valley Auto Salvage, and was a successful businessman involved in several ventures and was always a dreamer. He enjoyed restoring cars, fishing with his son, Grayson, spending time with his wife Josephine, and children, Jonna May and Justin.  He was especially proud of his daughter, Lexie, who is a Junior at Jacksonville State University.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Moore, by the mother of two of his children, Michelle Brady, and by his grandparents, Mitchell & Dovie Hicks Moore, and Howard Deford & Birdie Parcus Bentley.

Surviving family members include his wife, Josephine Moore;  His children:  Alexis "Lexie" Moore, Grayson Moore, Jonna May Ostulano, and Justin Moore;  His mother, Dorothy Bentley Moore;  His sister, Vicki Moore Clark;  His nephews, Wesley Cantrell & Dustin Clark; He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins from both the Bentley and the Moore families, and by his dear friend, Bobby Carden.

The family will receive friends on Sunday beginning at Noon at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Life service will be at 2:30 at the funeral home with Rev. Keith Lorick officiating.  Burial will follow in Charity Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Shriner's Children's Hospital https://www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org/shc where Greg's son Justin received treatment after being severely burned at the age of five in 2014.
