Harry D. Pounds of Huntsville, Alabama, went to be with His Lord and Savior Friday, January 1, 2021 at Hospice Family Care in Huntsville, Alabama after a battle with cancer. He was a quiet, gentle man who loved to work on cars, gardening, and listening to music.  He also had been employed at Wal Mart for several years.

He was born on March 10, 1960 in Indiana, Pennsylvania to Harry and Shirley (Straw) Pounds, who both preceded him in death.  He attended Berkshire High School and was enrolled in the Future Farmers of America in Burton, Ohio.  He lived in the Chardon, Ohio area until he relocated to Huntsville, Alabama in 1992.

He is survived by two sisters: Eileen (Charles) Simpson of Middlefield, Ohio; Shirley Eastman of Chardon, Ohio; 3 children: Steven, Angel and Dustin all of Ohio and many cousins.

He will be missed by those who knew him, which included his family and church family at New Day Church of Hazel Green, Alabama where he faithfully served for many years.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to New Day Church, 13741 US-231, Hazel Green, Ala 35750.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 11 AM at Stateline Cemetery.
