The Best

God saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be
So he put His arms around you
And whispered, “Come to me.”
With tearful eyes we watched you
As you slowly slipped away
And though we loved you dearly
We couldn’t make you stay.
Your golden heart stopped beating
Your tired hands put to rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.

“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for vermore.” Psalm 121

Mrs. Helen Leslie Sharifi was born to the late Clarence Leslie Courtney and Erma Dean Ellam on November 7, 1955. Helen leaves to cherish her beautiful memories: her Husband (Mr. Muhamid Sharifi) her brother and sisters, 3 beloved sons (Terry Clayborne of Lexington, Kentucky, Carl Leslie Jr. and Jerome Leslie both of Huntsville, Alabama), 11 grandchildren (Darion, Sanchez, Cameron, Keyera, Dominic, Demitrius, Josephine, Joseph, Tatiana, Justin, Landon, and lots of nieces and nephews.  Helen was an amazing woman.  She had a heart of gold.  She would give anyone the shirt off her back.  Even though she only had three children, she was a mother to hundreds of people throughout her time.  She loved children with a passion.  People called her Ms. Helen, Granny or Momma.  She was loved and respected by many.  There was never a dull moment in her life!

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow nor crying, neither shall there be anymore pain; for the former things are passed away.” Revelation 21:4

“Life is but A Stopping Place”

Life is but a stopping place
a pause in what’s to be
A resting place along the road
to sweet eternity
We all have different journeys
different paths along the way
We all were meant to learn some things
but never meant to stay…..
Our destination is a place
for greater than we know
For some the journey’s quicker
For some the journey’s slow
and when the journey finally ends
We’ll claim a great reward
and find an everlasting peace
Together with the Lord.
