Howard Thurman LeagueOctober 20, 1924-November 16, 2012 Mr Howard League of Toney passed away Friday at a local hospital, he was 88. Mr. League was a lifelong member of the Murphy Hill Baptist Church, a proud WWII war veteran in the Navy, and a retired postal clerk with NASA. He is survived by three sisters Mildred and Virginia Loveday of Huntsville and Katheryn Thomas of Deckard TN; Nephews Scott and Mike League and a Niece Cindy Picini, and several other nieces and nephews.A visitation with the family will be Sunday November 18, from 2 until 5 PM, at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday November 19, at 1 PM in the chapel of Hazel Green Funeral Home, with the Reverend Mike McFarlen officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery.
