Hugh Ed Michaels

Graveside services for Hugh Ed Michaels age 92 of New Market, Alabama will be conducted Friday at 1:30 PM at Langston Cemetery in Jackson County with Bro. Charles Freeman officiating. Mr. Michaels passed away Tuesday at his residence. He is survived by his son, Greg and Denise Michaels, three granddaughters, Casey and Will Brannon, Courtney and Trace Burgett and Allie and Hunter Watson, three great grandchildren, Jaelynn and Presley Clark and Warren Dowdey Burgett, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Pace Michaels, one son, Jeffrey Wade Michaels, his parents, Jim and Allie Michaels, one brother, James Michaels and two sisters, Flora Mae Fossett and Ida Hill. Special thank you to Kindred Hospice and his friend and caretaker of ten years, Jimmy Campbell. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, retired civilian employee of the U.S. Army Missile Command, deacon emeritus of Hillwood Baptist Church in Huntsville, member of Helion Lodge #1, Cahaba Shrine Temple, loved Auburn sports and to laugh and share jokes. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to the building fund of Hillwood Baptist Church in Huntsville.

Visitation will be Friday 10:30 until 11:30 at Hazel Green Funeral Home.
