Jack Junior Laster

Jack Junior Laster, born August 20, 1929 in Alabama passed away on January 14, 2023 at the age of 93 in Hazel Green, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents Grover and Nettie Laster, six brothers, his son Terry Laster and his granddaughter, Marie Stephens.

He is survived by his wife of more than 71 years, Geneva Laster; his son and daughter-in-law, Larry & Sammie Laster; his daughter and son-in-law, Portia & Mark Harris; His daughter and son-in-law, Shelia & Ray Letson; His daughter and son-in-law, Melanie & Larry Eakes; His daughter and son-in-law, Alisa & Chuck Wells; His daughter and son-in-law, Christie & Dennis Graham; He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Throughout life Jack lived in Hazel Green, Alabama where he worked as a farmer for many years before retiring from Madison County Schools as a bus driver. He was a faithful member of Plainview Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be Tuesday evening at 7pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Hale and Bro. Ben Bailey officiating.  The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.  There will be a family committal service on Wednesday at Valhalla Memory Gardens.

Mr. Laster will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who blessed the lives of those around him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those who knew him.
