James Alton Davis, 74, of Hazel Green, Alabama passed away April 3, 2025 at Huntsville Hospital Huntsville, Alabama . He was born on January 22, 1951 in Huntsville , Alabama to the late Alton and Mildred (Manning) Davis .
He is best known for being owner of Davis Foreign Auto Parts. He started this business in 1978 with his dad and dedicated his career in this business until 2023, when he retired.
James is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Davis; daughter Daphne Davis of Nashville, TN; son Weston Davis of Huntsville, AL; Tiffany Davis Heard of Italy; and step-son David King of Florida. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Beverly McKinney of Huntsville, AL.
The family will receive friends at Hazel Green Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM. Graveside services will follow at Concord Cemetery, beginning at 3:00 PM, immediately after the visitation.
Pallbearers for the service will be Ryan McWhitney, Don Prince, Kevin McWhitney and Ricky Renfroe.
