James Alan Beck Sr.

It is with great sadness the family of James “Jim” Beck Sr. announces his passing after a sudden illness, on December 22, 2017, at the age of 65. James lived in Hazel Green, Alabama. He was survived by his sons, James Alan Beck Jr and Stefan Beck, and his sister Pam Lee, and his niece Julie Cobb and nephew Patrick Cobb.

James was born in Hammond, Indiana but moved to Alabama with his father Melvin Beck, and his mother Nola Beck. James also enlisted in the Navy in October of 1975 through March of 1979.

James loved life, was always smiling, and even looked at the bright side  even in the darkest days. The family would like to thank all the doctors and staff that enriched not only his life, but the family’s as well during the difficult  times.

Visitation will be Saturday from 12 PM until 2 PM followed by services at 2 PM at Hazel Green Funeral Home. 256-828-0035.
