James Keith Kay

James Keith Kay was born November 16, 1939 in Madison County, Alabama, and passed away on January 12, 2017 at his home in Hazel Green surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry & Effie Kay, and by his brother, Norvel Kay.
Mr. Kay served in the United States Navy from 1960 until 1964. He had retired from R&D Electronics in 2006.
Surviving family members include his wife of nearly 55 years, Linda; His daughters, Rhonda (Barry) Crumrine, Donna Murphy, Kathy (Michael) Holmes; His grandchildren, Mandy (Lance) Taylor, Hannah (Ben) Bradford, Josh Murphy, Miles Crumrine, Hunter Murphy, Jamison & Willow Holmes; His Great-grandchildren: Kelsie & Kason Taylor, Jordyn & Bo Murphy, and Ellianna & Peyton Bradford; His brother, Billy Wayne Kay, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 5 until 8pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday at 2pm at the funeral home. Burial will then follow in New Sharon Cemetery.
