James Calvin Strickland

Funeral services for James Calvin “Jim” Strickland age 69 of New Market, Alabama will be conducted Friday 1 PM at Hazel Green Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Lones officiating and burial will follow in the Britton Cemetery. Mr. Strickland passed away Sunday at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, C.B. (Red) and Edna Cook Strickland. He was a 1971 graduate of Section High School, he loved his purple Martins, his fruit orchard especially his muscadines, he was avid in the study of Bible Prophecy, he enjoyed helping people, his rule was “Integrity Needs No Rules” to develop the character of young men and was instrumental in many lives.

He is survived by his wife, Vicky Harlston Strickland, one sister, Darlene Fambro, two brothers in law, Jeff and Suzi Harlston and Bill and Analita Coffey, one God sent son, Frankie Delacruz and a host of loving family members and friends. The family requests no flowers and that donations may be made to your favorite charity.

Visitation will be Thursday 5-8 PM at Hazel Green Funeral Home
